ETOPS Type Rating on ATR 42/72
Depending on your requirement, ETOPS proposes 5 different programs:
Prerequisites to enter the course ATR 42/72-500 Type Rating
– Frozen ATPL (Theoretical)
– Valid CPL or ATPL with valid IR/ME
– 70 hours as Pilot-In-Command
– ICAO English Level 4 minimum
– Multi-Crew Co-operation certificate
– Advanced UPRT (if first MPA Type Rating)
Course description
Theoretical phase – 15 working days
– 8 working days of distance-learning (CBT training)
– 4 working days of studys and tests
– 3 working days of Virtual Procedure Trainer (3h/sessions)
Practical phase – 10 working days
– 20 hours of FTD
– 16 hours of FFS
– 4 hours of Skill Test on FFS
Base Training on aircraft – 1 day
4 or 6 takes-off and landings (depending on your experience)
Prerequisites to enter the course ATR 42/72-500 + MCC Type Rating
– Frozen ATPL (Theoretical)
– Valid CPL or ATPL with valid IR/ME
– 70 hours as Pilot-In-Command
– ICAO English Level 4 minimum
– Advanced UPRT (if first MPA Type Rating)
Course description
Theoretical phase – 19 working days
– 8 working days of distance-learning (CBT training)
– 4 working days of studys and tests
– 4 working days of studys (MCC Part)
– 3 working days of Virtual Procedure Trainer (3h/sessions)
Practical phase – 13 working days
– 28 hours of FTD
– 16 hours of FFS
– 4 hours of Skill Test on FFS
Base Training on aircraft – 1 day
4 or 6 takes-off and landings (depending on your experience)

– 8 working days of e-learning
– 4 working days of study and tests

Practical phase – 14 working days
– 12 hours of FPT
– 20 hours of FTD
– 16 hours of FFS
Base Training on aircraft – 1 day
4 or 6 takes-off and landings (depending on your experience)

– CBT training
– Performance and Systems
Practical phase – 4 working days
– 7 hours of FPT
– 6 hours of FFS
Delta course – 10 days

Course description
Theoretical phase – 3 working days
– CBT training
– Performance and Systems
Practical phase – 8 working days
– 15 hours of FPT
– 15 hours of FFS
Training locations
Theoretical phase is conducted in distance learning and in Toulouse, France, at our ETOPS facilities.
Pratical phase is delivered in Toulouse (ATR Training Center) or Dublin within ETOPS approved simulation center.
Base training is conducted in Denmark or in France within ETOPS partner Airline.
Transportation and Accomodation
Transportation between training sites and accomodation are not included. However, ETOPS has preferential rates for hotels and apart hotels close to the training centers. You can see the summary of the accomodation solution that we propose here (pdf files) :

Regulation and approval
ETOPS is approved by EASA, Malaysian DCA and Indian DGCA. We also aim to match all major Authorities requirements in order to cover at maximum any customer constraints. Therefore, ETOPS can make its courses approved under various regulation upon request.
